Ady and Kendyl off to Pre-School

What will Amy do with only one kid for a whole 2 hours twice a week?

Wow. Kendyl already going to preschool. She and Ady had a ball today. Lucy Bouck is in their class. They love their teachers. I'm sure one of them will be able to get Kendyl to learn her letters and numbers. She is a very smart girl, but just not interested in paying attention. Ady, on the flip side, loves to figure things out. She's quite a reader already.

Fun pictures. And, one with all the kids.

Footings

August 24, 2010

So, after a little bit of a goose chase between subs on the footings and foundation, I finally went with Curt's guy and he came the next day. A couple of photos on this one. One from farther away, and one up close. What a cut up footing plan!

Excavation

August 16, 2010

We finally got everything set and started digging today. They started digging on the 16th and were done with the gravel and compaction on the 17th. This is how it looked.

Kassida goes to 1st Grade!

August 23, 2010

Everybody says it, but this year it was really true. What happened to summer?! More importantly, where did "little" Kassida go? It seems surreal to already have little Krazy Daisy going to school all day. She was way excited. Even to the point that she and Ady and Kendyl have been playing "school" practically every day last week.

Kassida's friend Kennedy is in her class. So, she's excited for that. Also, Lily and Brinley are in there, so there certainly won't be a lack of friends. It was actually kinda cute. She and Kennedy held hands for a bit when they found each other in line.

Wasn't too bad coming from Kaysville this morning. Farmington had been out of power since Sunday at about 3pm from the wild windstorms. What a great day for Kass!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

(I am trying to upload a slideshow, not working)

Steve and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary this August. We celebrated it just the two of us in Hawaii for 7 days. (Thanks Mom and Dad for taking our kids). We so needed some time to ourselves, especially with Steve building a new house. Hawaii is so relaxing. The culture is that way. No one gets going until about 8 am and everything is shut down by 9 pm (even restaurants).

Things we did:

1. Hiked around tons of water falls. Aka Falls was our favorite.

2. Went 4x4 to South Point to see the green sand beach.

3. Helicopter ride over the volcano. That was our favorite part. The volcano had some active lava flowing, which we saw flowing into the ocean from the helicopter.

4. Swam with sea turtles and snorkeled.

5. Boogie boarded at a black sand beach.

6. Luau. The dancers, especially the fire throwers were amazing.

7. Mauna Kea Observatory. You can drive to the top of the Mauna Kea mountain which is almost 14,000 feet. We watched the sun set. That was so awesome. And than star glazed.

Happy Anniversary Steve!

I Love You!

Thanks for 10 amazing years and here is many, many more.

JULY

The Bouck Family Reunion

This year the theme was circus. This was the last day where all the kids had an act in the circus and went to a carnival. The kids had a lot of fun. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa. Also, a big thanks to Kevin and Joy who took our kids to the reunion so Steve and I could move.

Swimming Lessons

Our kids love the water. Since we spend so much time in the water either at the pool or on a boat I find it important for them to know how to swim. We take lessons from a family in Fruit Heights, The Clarks. They are so good with the kids. They just love them. The girls progressed so much this year. Kassida can swim in the deep end all by herself and go off the diving board. She is awesome at diving and the breast stroke. Adlyn is learning to do all the strokes and can go off the diving board. Kendyl is just starting out. She can blow her bubbles under water really good.

JUNE CHAOS

Our summer has been total chaos. For the whole month of June we packed up our house to move. That is right. We sold our house in 12 days. Pretty Lucky (I guess)!

We moved out the first part of July. Don't worry for all those who thought they were getting rid of us or sad that we were leaving. We are staying in Farmington, just down the road from where we were. We bought an acre and we are going to build again and have some steers. We are excited for the leap in our lives. Let the building begin!
One day, while we were cleaning the basement, Rhett kept getting into everything. We asked to watch him and hang on to him. Next thing we know, this is what had happened. She took a piece of ribbon and tied him up!
